How can we understand the mind of a Trump supporter?

Trump isn't even vice president yet and he and president elect Musk have already succeeded in making the government collapse into chaos. The military and other public servants won't get paid. Disaster relief will come to a halt. Land, sea and air traffic will be hit in the middle of the holiday season. Even children's cancer research fell under the axe! It will add billions to the public debt. But Elon and Trump got what they wanted: to raise the debt ceiling by another $5 trillion so they can enjoy their billions in tax cuts for the rich and for corporations. And, strangely enough, they struck a provision that would have limited business investments in China so they can take away more American jobs and move them to Asia!
Outside of the U.S., apart from Putin and Xi, nobody can believe that so many Americans are still willing to vote for such a con man who had the most disastrous presidency since the U.S. were founded.

The budget just passed Congress. It includes cutting SNAP by $230 billion, cutting Medicaid by $880 billion and giving $1.1 trillion to the rich.
Trump shamelessly tries to get political gain out of the New Orleans attack and lies about the origins of the attacker, insinuating he's an immigrant (the attacker turned out to be a U.S. citizen) and claiming that “The criminals who're coming into this country are far worse than the ones we already have". Just like Hitler, Trump uses the blame culture for everything that goes wrong in order to divert the attention away from who really is responsible.
99 people in Texas and New Mexico have been infected with measles, a disease once eradicated in the U.S. 2 children have died already. Even if RFK Jr. backtracked on his statements that vaccines don't work during his confirmation hearings, he and other prominent anti-vaccine activists bear a crushing responsibility. As does Trump who recently threatened to block federal funding for public schools that require COVID vaccination.
Trump's away for a weekend of golf after a week with 2 plane crashes, imposing 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada that will only hurt Americans, purging FBI executives he doesn't like, threatening to defund schools that refuse to teach what he wants and announcing that 30,000 illegal immigrants will be sent to Guantanamo.

Just like Hitler in 1938, Trump's elected Time person of the year.
They are so utterly brainwashed that they believe that the Democrats are the “Deep State" whereas none of them are even wondering what Elon Musk will want in return for the $45 million he's donating to the Trump campaign every month.
Trump repeated that he wants to annex Canada to make it the 51st state, that he wants to buy Greenland and that he wants to seize the Panama canal. Hitler's dream of lebensraum springs to mind. And just like Hitler with Sudetia and Poland, Trump's never wondered if the Canadians, Greenlanders, Danish and Panamese are okay with that. And at the same time he considers Puerto Rico, a real U.S. protectorate, a “floating island of garbage"…
Trump didn't remember having issued a pardon for D.J. Rodriguez, the man who had attacked a police officer on J6 and boasted afterwards that he: “tazed the fuck out of that blue.” The judge who sentenced Rodriguez to more than 12 years called him a “one army of hate". Trump replied that he didn't know if it was a pardon and then said that he'd “look into it", unaware that a presidential pardon is irrevocable.
Trump says he's looking forward to seeing the “sick thugs" who vandalised an electric car get 20 years in an El Salvador prison whereas those who beat up and killed cops during J6 get to walk free. Apparently Elon's cars are worth more than democracy and justice in Trump's little universe.
Not even a month in Trump's presidency and there have already been 6 plane crashes. How many FAA staff did Trump/Musk make redundant again?
Edit 02 February 2025:
The Trump foundation's own stock, DJT, now trades at $18, whereas during its launch a year ago it hit almost $80. Soon the stock will be worthless and Trump will have to face his 7th bankruptcy, the biggest of them all.
President elect Musk admits that DOGE won't find $2 trillion in cuts. They're taking back their campaign promises faster than they made them, and Musk isn't even sworn in yet. Just to show that it wasn't about immigrants nor the price of eggs. It was about billionaires seizing power and more wealth on the expense of ordinary Americans. People who voted for Trump and still don't feel betrayed are either retarded or brainwashed.
There isn't a day that Trump doesn't make a complete fool of himself. His new executive order against transsexual people for example isn't just bigoted and anti-Christian, his definition of “female" defines everyone as female (at the moment of conception we are all female - I specify because Trump supporters have no understanding of biology, nor of much else). Make America a laughing stock again…
Musk shuts down USAID. Not because it was corrupt, but because USAID was investigating Starlink being shut down in the Ukraine to assist Russia in the war.
Trump freezes all USDA funding, breaking yet another promise. He had promised several times that the USDA funding freeze would not impact individuals who had subscribed to Biden's clean energy incentives. But like always, Trump never keeps a promise, leaving many thousands of farmers on the hook after they've already been hit hard with Trump's tariffs and immigration policies.
Edit 25 January 2025:
Trump also sided with Russia and North Korea against the Ukraine and Europe at the U.N. last week, refusing to call Russia the aggressor in the conflict.
What's particularly interesting in this case is that Trump didn't use a pardon as he did many times in the past, e.g like he did for all J6 rioters. He pressured the DoJ to dismiss the charges, meaning that they can be brought back if Adams fails to deliver. Blackmail in its purest form.
Trump pardons a (billionaire) drug baron.
Edit 09 January 2025:
Musk cancelled Verizon's $2.4 billion contract with the FAA. The contract now goes to… Starlink.

Trump backed out of those tariffs because he finally realised that they would hurt the U.S. much more than Mexico or Canada. Canada, for instance, recently finished a new pipeline to send tar sands to their west coast where it can be exported to other countries. But where is the U.S. still going to get tar sands?
Trump raises tariffs on Canadian aluminium and steel to 50%. Trump has another tantrum because the Canadians won't bend to his wishes and have imposed reciprocal tariffs on the U.S., raising the price of their energy exports by 25%. The stock market reacts dramatically to Trump's incompetence.
In his “Meet the press” interview, Trump repeated he would go after politicians he considers “corrupt” and that he will pardon the 01/06 rioters, also those who pleaded guilty.
Edit 02 February 2025:
So far though, 2 of Trump's executive orders have already been blocked by federal judges because unconstitutional.
On a sidenote, for those MAGA morons who don't know anything and who believe that NATO is an excuse for other countries to solely rely on the U.S. for defense, the only member state ever requesting NATO support was… the U.S. (on 09/11)
Trump promised his base he would “terminate" H-1B visas. But this was not to the liking of president elect Musk who violently attacked the MAGA base, telling them to: “FUCK YOURSELF" and stating that he would “go to war" over the issue “the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend.” And vice-president elect Trump immediately jumped in line, stating that he has many H-1B visas working for him. The waiters and cleaning ladies and gardeners at Mar-a-Lago are, however, H-1C visas. Trump doesn't even know what he's talking about. MAGA is in total chaos and Musk isn't even sworn in yet.
Egg prices are up 37%!
Trump's executive orders have already been stopped more than 50 times by federal judges as they are clear violations of the constitution. Examples are the mining for private data of U.S. citizens and the deportation of immigrants without judicial review, among many others.
Edit 24 February 2025:
And suddenly, after having severely criticised Biden for years about sending aid to the Ukraine, Trump wants to go even a step further. And suddenly MAGA is okay with that. Hypocrites.

The top people of Trump's cabinet, among whom Vance, Rubio, Hegseth and Gabbard, discussed war plans via the Signal messaging app and… accidentally invited a journalist to participate. The journalist in question was shown top classified plans for strikes on Yemenite targets and was able follow the entire discussion. He was sceptical at first, not wanting to believe that the top officials of the country would be so careless, but when the proposed strikes were effectively put into action, it became clear that the whole group chat on Signal had been real.
Donald Trump plans to oust the U.S. Attorney prosecuting Sean 'Diddy' Combs. This is a clear violation of the separation of powers to the benefit of a personal friend. Why is Diddy so important to Trump? Perhaps because he knows too much?
The worst thing of it is that Trump's cabinet are doing their secret meetings on apps like Signal in order to avoid that the records of the meeting are being retained. They want no records of it so they can never be subpoenaed by Congress, i.e. by the people. This is not just illegal, it's treason!
Only dictators believe they are above the law.
During a press conference:
It was all smoke and mirrors to fool his gullible followers. The only thing that Trump accomplished was pissing off the U.S.’s two most important trade partners, who will probably seek closer ties with other partners from now on.
The leader of the inquiry he appointed: Mike Waltz, the same man who invited journalist Jeff Goldberg to the chat and who called Goldberg “the bottom scum of journalists".
The weird thing is though that Trump called those who're protesting in front of Tesla dealers “terrorists” while he pardoned those who stormed the Capitol on J6.
Edit 14 February 2025:
Musk has declared that U.S. citizens will suffer hardship in the years to come. The election's hardly over and they're already announcing that all of their promises about the economy were lies. Like during his first term, Trump will only give benefits to the rich and corporations, which the ordinary Americans will have to pay for.
Edit 17 February 2025:
Trump supporters are fools who don't even realise that they're being conned. Trump demanded that California “turn the valve” to allow more water to reach Los Angeles, where, he said, residents of Beverly Hills had been limited to 38 gallons of water per day. “When you’re a rich person, you like to take a shower. Thirty-eight gallons doesn’t last very long.” Trump didn't know that there is no such water restriction and that there is no such valve.

Trump doesn't care about the Ukraine nor its people. He only cares about what's hidden in the Ukraine's soil.
Trump is officially a convicted felon. He was found guilty unanimously by a jury of his peers after hardly a day's deliberation of falsifying business records and that sentence was upheld by the judge today. Trump, as could be expected, started a new tirade against the trial and the judge on social media, considering himself to be above the law. No president is above the law. Only dictators believe they are.
Elon Musk, a foreigner who isn't elected into any public office, disparaged a bipartisan government funding bill as he demanded no debt ceiling for the next two years. First of all, letting debt run wild would be disastrous for the U.S. Secondly, Elon claimed that “the voice of the people" had been heard whereas it was only his own voice that had been heard. Thirdly and most importantly of all, where was Trump? He just jumped in two days later supporting Elon and telling Republican congressmen to step in line. Is Trump the president or the vice president? Deep state, anyone?
Trump declares CNN and MSNBC “illegal".
MAGA voters wanted crazy, they got crazy.
So he called his subordinate Trump to do a photo op in front of the White House to boost the sales of his $80,000+ cars. Other MAGA Republicans have also openly made publicity for Tesla.
Trump backtracks on the tariffs imposed on Canada and Mexico. He presents it as a win since Canada and Mexico agreed to send more troops to secure the border. What the Trump media don't mention is that Biden already signed the deal to send 10,000 extra troops to the border with Canada last December and with Mexico in 2022. All that Canada and Mexico did was confirming their end of the deal.

Trump imposes 25% tariffs on products coming out of Mexico and Canada. This means that most of e.g. fruit, vegetables, timber, aluminium and 30% of oil will become 25% more expensive for Americans. Mexico and Canada have immediately retaliated with similar tariffs. Since Canada is the biggest producer of electricity for the entire U.S. east coast, electricity will become 25% more expensive for Americans there.
Of course, Pete Hegseth got confirmed. In spite of not having the right qualifications. In spite of being accused of alcohol abuse and rape (the commission didn't even want to hear one of his victims). Republican senators even laughed the accusations away with: “Haven't we all once turned up drunk for a vote?” He will be the new head of the DoD. Congratulations. The U.S. never managed to win a war on its own, apart from the Spanish one of 1898. The way things are now, that's not going to change any time soon.

Trump effectively managed to tear apart an alliance that stood for 80 years and changed sides to the old Russian enemies. If anyone's still wondering where Trump's money and support come from…
Trump politicises the L.A. fires, with help only dependent on political concessions from the state of California. Meanwhile, the Canadian and Mexican tax payers have donated more to help the Californians than the entire MAGA movement with both countries sending firefighters and planes. Trump also aired various lies and false claims such as FEMA being without funds or the supposed “water restoration declaration". His biggest gaffe however was his claim that water naturally flows from Canada into the U.S. as Canada lies “north of us". As if water naturally flows from north to south (most of the great rivers on the northern hemisphere go from south to north, such as the Nile, Ob and Jena!). Trump supporters immediately jumped to his defense with many stating that water does flow from the Great Lakes into the Mississippi (it doesn't) and that the Columbia river “diverts" all the way into California (it doesn't). This demonstrates once again that Trump was only elected president because many Americans lack education. After all the U.S. has the highest illiteracy rate of the developed World with 40% of the population having the reading skills of a 12 year old. The U.S scores only 86% on literacy rate, on par with countries such as Syria and Iraq. And Trump wants to abolish the Department of Education…
Edit 21 March 2025:
Trump fired the top 6 FBI executives in ongoing purges of all government agencies of everyone who doesn't agree with him. 1933 Germany revisited.
Trump confirms that he intends to declare a national emergency and use the U.S. military for the deportation of undocumented immigrants. In other words, he's letting the military out in the streets. After immigrants, who's going to be next? Political opponents? In 1933 after the (staged) attack on the government, also Hitler declared a national emergency. Six months later, Germany would become a one party state.
Trump now calls for the impeachment of these judges, whereas he should know that in the U.S. no judge can be impeached for having a different opinion on the law, especially when Trump flagrantly violates the constitution. Now that Trump and his cronies declare that they will continue nonetheless, ignoring court rulings, they place themselves above the law, creating a system wherein Trump concentrates all three branches of government in himself.
